It's The Bigs!

Continuing on last week's post about too early rankings, coming at you with the way too early 2B rankings for the upcoming 2023 fantasy baseball season.  Again, I'll be highlighting the top 15 and honorable mentions. Honorable Mentions:  Gavin Lux, Luis Rengifo, Ryan McMahon, DJ LeMahieu.  One sentence on each. Gavin Lux has the opportunity to jump up these ranks as the off-season continues and I see real a playing time path and that has presented itself with Cody Bellinger being non-tendered. Rengifo is the poor man's version of Gavin Lux.  Ryan McMahon may not even have 2b eligibility in some leagues after 2022 but if he does, he isn't the greatest even in Coors.  DJ... ask a Yankee fan how they feel about that 90 million dollar contract they signed him to.   15.  Jonathan India, Cincinnati Reds 2022:  .249/.327/.705    10HR, 41RBI, 31BB, 94K This is a late addition to the top 15 as I had him outside looking in but, sadly, we lose...

 I know, it's way too early for a 2023 rankings blog, but I want to kick this off with something we can really sink our teeth into.  Here's my top 15 first base options going into the 2023 season.  Of course, things will change between now and draft season, but this should serve as a nice starting guide at this position. Let's get this started: Honorable Mentions:   CJ Cron, Josh Bell, Seth Brown Quickly mentioning these three guys as people who just missed this list.  CJ Cron was awful outside of Coors and I don't see that changing over the next season as he turns 33 in the final year of that deal with Colorado.  If you want to platoon him with someone during the season, go for it.  Josh Bell struggled IMMENSELY in his move to San Diego and, if we're honest, we're still chasing that 2019 first half.  He'll never be that.  Hopefully he lands somewhere promising so he can garner a look in mixed leagues.  Finally, keep your eye on Set...

What's going on guys!  It's the Bigs Blog #1 and today I'm going to answer the very simple question of... What?  Last I saw and spoke with everyone, I was preparing to move across the country during the dog days of summer.  Since, I've settled back in at home and am quickly preparing for the 2023 fantasy baseball season!  In time, audio and video podcasts will return, live shows will return and I look forward to upcoming interviews with members of the fantasy baseball industry, other members of The Bigs and much more!  So, what does this blog serve for? In years past, we've done pre-season rankings shows but never had a place to post them for others to view, critique and give feedback on.  That is the first thing that comes to mind when beginning this, but also will be a place to post our weekly overviews for The Bigs, that way people can follow along with our researched information as they listen or watch our weekly review shows.  Finally, the further...
